MARK: By the time I was in
high school I was racing every weekend. I played little
league baseball when I was younger, but racing has been
my only sport since I was 15 years old.

MARK: My most embarrassing
moment in sports when I was playing little league baseball.
I was big into stealing bases, and one time my dad starting
screaming at me to go back to my base and I was so embarrassed.

flavor is lime (the green one).

What advice would you give a high
school athlete who is serious about sports?

MARK: Any high school athlete
who is serious about sports should be prepared for high
performance athletic training and have a proper diet.

MARK: I always thought Muhummad
Ali was pretty cool.

school experience?

MARK: My most memorable high
school experience was graduation.

high school?

MARK: My favorite class was
math.

Did you win any awards in high
school for sports?

MARK: I won a track championship
at a local dirt track when I was 15, and just kept winning
around the state after that.

What is your philosophy on competing?

MARK: If you want to be better
than everybody else, you have to work harder than everybody
else.

At what point in your life did
you realize you wanted to make sports your career?
|
|
MARK: I realized I wanted to
make sports my career when I was about 18 or 19 years
old and knew I could actually make a living racing cars.
That was a pretty exciting day for me.
